I have thought about writing a blog for several years. Always put off by the thought of being out there and opening myself up to criticism.
Criticism may well come, but the over-riding drive to be blogging, to be sharing my experiences, knowledge and life has risen above the worries, so here we are!
These blogs will, eventually, be about dogs, a little about me and a lot about my life, my life with more than a few dogs!
BUT before I blog about my life with dogs and more dogs, I am off on the trip of a lifetime to Australia.
On May 1st, we fly off for one month.
This trip has been a long time coming. We were supposed to go several years ago but it was postponed thanks to covid.
As I have learnt with life, often from devastation rises an improved version of the previous plan!
This is certainly the case with our Australian adventure
A brief run down of our plans
depart UK 1st May
arrive in Melbourne
Judge Cairn Terriers at the speciality show for the Cairn Terrier Club of Victoria on Sunday 7th (the whole reason for our trip)
depart that night to Sydney, stay there for 3 nights
then onto Brisbane for 2 nights
up to Cairns for just over a week
fly over to Darwin for a couple of days
then we board The Ghan railway for 4 days, 3 nights
We depart the train in Adelaide and then collect a hire car for a final few days tour back to Melbourne
returning to the UK on 31st May.
I don’t want to be posting on Facebook about my Australian jollies. Facebook, for me, is all about work, so I am attempting to keep off for one month, hence Australian blogs will be in plentiful supply!
